Veil Jourde, advisor to Relais Colis on the takeover of its historic distribution activities by GLS, JP Home and Mondial Relay

Veil Jourde advised Relais Colis in connection with the acquisition of substantially all of its key assets by three industry operators GLS, JP Home, and Mondial Relay selected pursuant to a judgment issued by the Bobigny Commercial Court on 22 May 2026.
The transaction concerns Relais Colis, a longstanding player in the home-delivery sector, which had been placed into judicial reorganization proceedings (redressement judiciaire) in March 2026. The acquisition enables the continuation of the majority of the company’s operations and preserves 96 jobs.
Under the approved takeover plan, the French subsidiary of the Dutch GLS Group will acquire the small-parcel distribution business together with the “Relais Colis” brand. JP Home, part of the Jacky Perrenot Group, will take over the bulky-goods delivery business. Mondial Relay will continue the sorting operations conducted at the company’s 14,000 sq. m. facility located in Combs-la-Ville (Seine-et-Marne). In addition, the IT support activities will be transferred to Ciblex, a company of the French family-owned Walden Group, which specializes in next-day last-mile express delivery services in France and internationally.
Founded in 1969 as a delivery and logistics services provider for La Redoute, Relais Colis was subsequently acquired by DHL before joining the Walden Group’s International Express Transport division in 2022. Operating in 16 countries, the group serves a broad range of e-commerce platforms and retailers. At the time of the transaction, Relais Colis provided services to major online commerce players including Amazon, Ikea, Bouygues Telecom, La Redoute, Vinted, and Cdiscount.
In this matter, Relais Colis was advised by Veil Jourde, with Juliette Bour and François de Navailles, partners, Julie Lavaure and Corentin Lavat, associates.
