Veil Jourde, advisor to Deleplanque managers and employees in connection with its sale to RAGT Semences

Veil Jourde advised the managers, Eric Verjux, Maxime Petrovski, Laurent Boisroux and Laurent Algans, and employees of the Deleplanque group on its sale to RAGT Semences, a subsidiary of the Aveyron-based agricultural group RAGT.

The Deleplanque group, which brings together several family businesses founded in the 19th century, is an international player in the sugar beet, vegetable and field seeds markets. Renowned for its expertise and with 450 employees at 9 sites, including 2 in Germany, its varieties are currently sold in 50 countries.

Its integration into RAGT Semences, the European leader in cereals and protein crops, with which it has many synergies and complementarities, will enable Deleplanque – and its Strube and van Waveren entities – to develop new growth opportunities, consolidate its breeding and invest more heavily in research.

RAGT Semences places innovation at the heart of its development strategy, investing almost 18% of its sales in its research subsidiary and its 21 research stations worldwide.

Together, Deleplanque and RAGT Semences will now have nearly 2,000 employees and some fifteen production sites.
