Pay Transparency: Should You Start Preparing Now?

From HR practices to compensation policies, the transposition of the EU Pay Transparency Directive is set to bring sweeping changes. The draft transposition bill, presented to the French Council of Ministers on September 10, confirmed this direction: while its wording has evolved, most of the mechanisms originally planned remain in place.
Several questions remain open, however. How should “work of equal value” be defined in practice? What criteria can be used to justify a pay gap? Which obligations will apply depending on company size?
As part of the new edition of our Morning Briefings, we are pleased to welcome on October 14:
- Sarah Dupond, General Counsel and Head of Employee Relations, AVIV Group
- Jean-Philippe Gouin, Partner, Arthur Hunt Consulting
They will share their perspectives as practitioners alongside Marine Guille and Solène Hervouët, attorneys on our Employment Law team, to identify the steps companies should take now.
