Veil Jourde, advisor to Maison Ponthier for its refinancing
Veil Jourde advises Maison Ponthier on its refinancing of the debt raised from Barings, by Société Générale and Banque Populaire Aquitaine Centre Atlantique.
This refinancing takes place before the maturity term of the unitranche debt contributed by Barings, which had financed the purchase of Ponthier, at the end of 2017, by the family holding company Ariane, for its Food Emotion gastronomic division.
Founded in 1946 in Corrèze and initially specializing in fruit trading, Maison Ponthier now designs top-of-the-range products based on fresh fruit and aimed at catering professionals.
It has a turnover of 75 million euros, 70% of which are exported to over sixty countries.
Committed to responsible, sustainable products with a natural composition, Ponthier sources the raw materials processed in its Correze workshops with the utmost care, and was awarded B Corp certification in 2023, a recognition of its respect for high social and environmental standards.
Maison Ponthier was advised on the tax aspects of this transaction by Veil Jourde, with partner Benoît Gréteau and associate Charlotte Bittermann.
