Veil Jourde, advisor to the Walden Group in the context of exclusive negotiations with a view to the sale of Walden Health to Yusen Logistics Group

Veil Jourde is advising Walden Group on its entry into exclusive negotiations for the sale of its healthcare logistics business, Walden Health, to Yusen Logistics Group, a Japan-based global logistics operator and subsidiary of NYK Line, Japan’s largest shipping company, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Founded in 1951, Walden is one of the leading players in logistics for the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. Walden has grown from a French operator to a pan-European player through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, having acquired Movianto from Owens and Minor in 2020.

The transaction will enable Walden Health to accelerate its growth and extend its international reach and footprint, drawing on the global network and integrated capabilities of Yusen Logistics Group, which employs over 25,000 people in more than 650 logistics centers and has 373 warehouses in 45 countries, including 18 in Europe.

Veil Jourde is Walden Group’s regular advisor. Veil Jourde worked alongside Walden on the acquisition of Movianto in 2020, as well as on the acquisitions of its Mobility division, in particular Ciblex and Relais Colis.
