Nicolas Brault has been advising and litigating in civil and criminal matters for over 30 years in all areas of intellectual property law, communications and media law (audiovisual, cinema, advertising, press, publishing) and new technologies law (internet, telecoms), notably on behalf of major luxury goods and communications groups.

He began working with Yves Attal in 1990, before setting up Davideau Brault Chassigneux (1992-1993) and joining Veil Jourde (1994-2004) as a partner in charge of IP/IT. He then founded Watrin Brault Associés (2004-2019), a niche firm specialising in media and intellectual property law, before joining Veil Jourde with his team in 2020 as a partner in charge of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice.

  • CMAP-accredited co-arbitrator since 2012
  • Admitted to the Paris Bar in 1990
  • Holder of a postgraduate diploma (DESS) in business and tax law and a diploma from the Institut du Droit des Affaires (IDA) of the University of Paris II-Assas (1989)
