Veil Jourde, advisor of Crédit Agricole on its investment in Domaine Louis Moreau

Veil Jourde is advising Crédit Agricole, which, through the Caisse Régionale de Champagne-Bourgogne (via its investment vehicle CACB’Invest, advised by Carvest) and IDIA Capital Investissement (via its vehicle Grands Crus Investissements), has announced its equity investment in Domaine Louis Moreau.

Run by Louis Moreau and his wife Anne, Domaine Louis Moreau has been a family-owned estate since 1814. Based in Beine (Yonne), it farms 86 hectares of vineyards across the Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru appellations. The estate’s wines enjoy an international reputation, and a significant share of its sales comes from export markets and premium traditional distribution channels.

This primary transaction is intended to support Domaine Louis Moreau through a new phase of growth up to 2032. Its strategic objectives include converting the vineyard to organic farming and preparing the handover of the estate to Louis and Anne Moreau’s daughters, who represent the seventh generation.

On this transaction, Crédit Agricole was advised by Veil Jourde, with Laurent Jobert, partner, and Paul Nanty, associate, on corporate and contractual matters, Pauline Larroque Daran, partner, and Héloïse Pinot, associate on employment matters, and Benoît Gréteau, partner and Céline Guo, associate on tax matters.
